STEP Charity was founded in 1997 by local residents responding to the decline of the steel and coal industries. From its roots in community action, STEP has grown into a debt-free, financially stable charity delivering childcare, employment support, enterprise space, and community activities across Stocksbridge and the Steel Valley.
